計畫巴黎之旅時，一直想搭乘塞納河遊船，卻因巴黎乘船選擇眾多而難以定案。參考眾多旅人評價，巴黎有許多遊船公司，如Batobus Paris、Vedettes du Pont Neuf、Le Calife、Le Capitaine Fracasse等，其中以Bateaux Parisiens與Bateaux Mouches 最受歡迎。在這兩家間猶豫選擇，也讓我充滿期待巴黎遊船獨特體驗。
“While planning my trip to Paris, I had my heart set on taking a cruise down the Seine, but I found it hard to settle on one because of the sheer number of options available. After consulting numerous traveler reviews, I found there are many cruise companies—such as Batobus Paris, Vedettes du Pont Neuf, Le Calife, and Le Capitaine Fracasse—but Bateaux Parisiens and Bateaux Mouches are by far the most popular. While Bateaux translates to ‘boats’ and Mouches to ‘flies’ in French, the term collectively refers to the flat-bottomed tour boats on the river. One interpretation is that the name evokes the image of boats moving lightly and busily along the Seine, much like flying insects. Alternatively, it is said that ‘Mouches’ is derived from the Mouche district near Lyon, a hub renowned for shipbuilding, which is where the name originated.”

計畫塞納河遊船時，我比較了Bateaux Parisiens與Bateaux Mouches。Bateaux Parisiens網站設計精緻，提供靠窗、靠走道及VIP三種餐點航程選擇，多元而吸引人。Bateaux Mouches則簡單純粹，全程靠窗座位，價格更親民，承載1949年以來的歷史底蘊。我選擇Bateaux Mouches，因其經濟實惠與悠久傳統。其碼頭位於Pont de l’Alma，從歌劇院搭地鐵直達，鄰近奧塞美術館，交通便利。雖然餐點非米其林等級，但在Bateaux Mouches法國紅色的簡單裝潢，體驗巴黎人過去50年的塞納河遊船旅程經歷，也是此次巴黎旅程中美好浪漫的回憶。
“When planning my Seine River cruise, I compared Bateaux Parisiens and Bateaux Mouches. Bateaux Parisiens features a sophisticated website and offers three distinct dining options—window, aisle, and VIP—which are diverse and attractive. Bateaux Mouches, on the other hand, is simple and pure; it guarantees window seating for everyone at a more accessible price, while carrying a historical legacy dating back to 1949.
I ultimately chose Bateaux Mouches for its affordability and enduring tradition. Its pier at Pont de l’Alma is convenient to reach—a direct metro ride from the Opera and close to the Musée d’Orsay. While the meals may not be Michelin-star quality, dining amidst the simple ‘French red’ decor and experiencing the same river journey that Parisians have enjoyed for the last 50 years became a beautiful and romantic memory of my trip to Paris.”
